As you know, our population is increasing daily, so we are getting ready for walk-in adoptions! Walk-ins will start during our St. Pitty's Day adoption event on 3/19 and 3/20.
As we've been preparing for this moment, we have made some enhancements to our process. The focus is on an open and honest conversation, reducing barriers, providing resources, and ensuring equity to this valuable service, since we all know that our animals have so much unconditional love to give, and they deserve every opportunity to have that.
We will be offering two adoption training sessions per month for at least the next three months as we ramp up our adoption volunteer squad. Once we have enough people to service walk-in adoptions, we'll offer it monthly.
Please note that this training is MANDATORY for all current adoption volunteers and any other volunteer who is interested in doing adoptions.
Also note that the training will be online. A Teams link will be emailed to you about an hour prior to the start of the training.
