Offsite adoption event on Saturday, August 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at
Big Star Wicker Park, located at 1531 N. Damen Ave.
This will be an adoption event with an information table, so we will have a table, tablecloth, and outreach materials available for volunteers. We are planning to have
a minimum of three dogs attend.
If we only have volunteer dog handlers available, Big Star staff will have volunteers on-site who can serve as the volunteer liaisons between the dogs and members of the public, if needed.
A few promotional updates:
- Graphics for the event will be shared soon.
- Printed signage will be available.

As of today, Big Star will also be promoting the adoption event by including postcards on all of their to-go bags leading up to the event.
The event has been scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to allow volunteers enough time to return the dogs to the shelter afterward.
All participating dogs will be checked out as Doggie Day Out dog
